Cotswolds Home
This private residential renovation in the Cotswolds reimagines a Grade II listed home for clients transitioning from a contemporary property to a house with character and charm. Seeking a slower, more grounded way of living, they wanted an interior which balanced their love of antiques and heritage detail with the practical needs of modern life. The interiors were carefully reworked to support a calmer daily rhythm. The layout was subtly adjusted to improve flow and function, while original features were restored with care to retain the building’s character and integrity.
Materials were chosen for simplicity and longevity. Natural stone, timber, and worn leather create a palette which feels settled and unforced within the space. The furnishing approach remains intentionally restrained. Each piece was selected for comfort, proportion, and purpose, allowing the architecture, light, and setting to lead. Every decision responds to how the house is lived in. How rooms are entered. How they are used. How they feel to return to. The result is a luxury Cotswolds home which bridges heritage and contemporary living. Calm, enduring, and designed to support modern life within a historic setting.
Dorset Home
Awarded for its contemporary architecture, this Dorset home is defined by strong modernist form. While architecturally confident, the interiors felt cool and formal, lacking warmth for family life. Novaco Design was appointed to redesign the interiors while respecting the original architecture. Our approach focused on three principles. Connection to nature. Comfort. Function.
The layout, sensitively reconfigured to support the daily rhythm. The study, relocated to a quieter sitting room, allowing a new boot room to be formed, providing a softer arrival home. The kitchen, complete reconfiguration to create a more social, functional space, better suited for everyday gatherings. The snug, transformed into an cosy retreat. The main atrium, previously underutilised, is now anchored through bespoke joinery, refined proportions, and carefully selected materials and furnishings, drawing it back into everyday use. Throughout the home, bespoke cabinetry was designed for the kitchen, boot room, snug, home office, swimming pool area, and principal bedroom. Soft timbers, layered textures, and a refined lighting scheme introduce warmth and atmosphere. The result is a contemporary Dorset home which feels generous, functional, deeply personal and ready to be lived in.
